This is a great beginning reader series! My daughter (age 6) has been burning through these at the clip of about one book every day or two. This series is doing just what these types of series are designed to do - increase fluency, boost confidence, and get kids excited about reading. So far she's read most of the Rainbow series and is about halfway through the books in the Petal Fairies series and the Gemstone Fairies series.Decent story lines and some challenging vocabulary put this series abov [...]

There are over 200 of these books and I think they're still making them. I must've read like 50 of them when I was a kid.

Megan finished this series a couple days ago. She read all of them, but I've read them to her before. She has now started reading The Weather Fairies and is a few books into that one already. I guess it helps that she was sick this weekend and didn't feel like doing anything but reading. She really likes these books as she is very into fairies at the moment. The books are simple and follow a simple pattern. Jack Frost steals something from the fairies in each series. The fairies look to two young [...]

apsalootly good

My 7 year old has devoured these in less than 2 weeks. She even took them to the playground to read during recess; she’s never done that with a book before.

I look at the covers and suddenly I’m flown right back to my childhood and my obsessive need to collect and read all these stories! My parents were over the moon that I finally wanted something productive instead of sweets. My love for reading fantasy books and anything with a little magic in it can be rooted right back to these amazing books. I can only hope I have a daughter one day who’s as eager to read them as I was!

awesome

Rainbow Magic has become an international hit with young girls, who like to imagine that they too will meet a fairy one day and help save a place like Fairyland! The Jewel Fairies, Weather Fairies, Pet Fairies, and Petal Fairies series are full of exciting adventures, but the magic started here, with the Rainbow Fairies -- even colorful sisters who keep Fairyland dazzling .Rainbow Magic has become an international hit with young girls, who like to imagine that they too will meet a fairy one day [...]

Read this series in 1st grade-one of my favorite series. It is definitely a easy read, but still enjoyable for young readers!

These were tremendous books and i would absolutely recommend themQ1: Who was your favourite character?Well there were 7 main characters because there is like 7 characters in this thingy. The fairies in this series are relating to colours so here are them.Ruby the Red Fairy, Amber the Orange Fairy, Saffron the Yellow Fairy, Fern the Green Fairy, Sky the Blue Fairy, Inky the Indigo Fairy, and Heather the Violet Fairy. Those were possibly the best books in the universe basically. and Daisy Meadows is [...]

I know I am older now but I read nearly all of these books when I was around 5 or 6. I liked how many different fairies there were and all of their names and stuff but I got a bit bored of them as they were all the same stories, just with a different setting and fairy. Basically what happened on every story was that 2 girls found a fairy, found something for them, were stopped by goblins, got what they wanted back and went to fairyland. I loved them at the time but got bored quite quickly. I can [...]

This rating is for my daughters age 5, 7, & 8, not me. They just love these books (although they give me a headache because they're all basically the same plot.) Two girls meet fairies and they have to rescue the 7 different fairies before Jack Frost does something bad. These, by far, are my daughters' favorite books. They look for the Fairy books every time we go to the library for the past year now. (There are a lot!)

(My overall review for the rainbow magic series)These books were so magical to me as a child. They really got me into reading and I was so addicted. They helped me learn the colours of the rainbow and entertained me for several years. The books aren't very good. I've tried reading them again because I was interested in what I saw in them. The books are very similar and repetitive but to child version of me, they were completely perfect!

While working in a Deaf/Hard of Hearing classroom I got the chance to read most of these books to the students of the class. Primarily girls age 7-12. The girls looked forward to reading these books whenever I mentioned them and would listen attentively as I read aloud. The amount of pictures was perfect to help support the story. This series is great for girls of all kinds because of the unique personalities of each fairy. I would definitely recommend these books to any young girl.

Formulaic and predictable, I still have to give these 4 stars since my 4,5 year old is absolutely obsessed with them and no matter how many we read, she stays interested, enthused and desperate for more. And really, they are cute stories with girls taking care or themselves and fending off badies on their own, so you could do a lot worse as a parent who has to read a series over and over again.

I'd give these books 3 stars, but my girls (barely 4 & barely 7) love them! These are cute little stories about a couple girls on vacation together, who find a fairy and are asked to find the other 6 fairies to complete the rainbow and save fairy land.

These are simple, sweet, fun books that my kindergartener adores. She loves fairies and begs for them at bedtime. Simple plots and short chapters make this series a good choice for early chapter book readers. I'd recommend them for children.

Thse are a fun books to read with my two girls 4 & 6. Two friends must find all 7 Rainbow Fairies before Jack Frost ruins Fairyland. In each book the friends, Rachel and Kirsty, find a new fairy. We're on book 4 now, Fern the Green Fairy.

My 8 year old boy and 5 year old girl love these stories. Not sure why. Formulaic. Predictable. Actually, that is probably why they get such joy out of them. They can be scared by the baddies, but know that it will all work out in the end.

haha i loved these books when I was a kid they used to make me so happy

I remember these slightly from my childhood, I think I was 5 or 6 when I read them. Kept me entertained and very cute.

I read this books to my daughter. She LOVES them!

It is about two girls going to help a fairy find her sisters. There is an evil Jack Frost.Help them get back to fairyland.

These are just perfect for Aurora (my 5 year old)e loved them. I liked them too bonus!

Lucy loves them, me, not so much. But at least she's reading.

Really easy read but is still a great series.

read when i was little but still love it. it is like a mistoury

They are a good 1-night read. If you like short magical stories this is the one for you!

Even though I read them all, I found them quite boring. I not only read this complete first series, but many/most of the other books in the other series.

I really never thought too highly of these books. Even when I read them at about four, I never really was very into them.
