1.5 starsI'd always wondered why m/m reading folks were saying how most m/m romances, especially in slash fanfic, are characterized by effeminate males. Now I understand. This clearly was an amateur work requiring editing. The author did pay some attention to the world-building, which was interesting, but there were not enough descriptions to fully visualize the world and to make it feel real. While the attraction between the two male protagonists was painstakingly described, it wasn't enough to [...]

There were a few things that really irked me about this story, the worst being the sharing and het sex. And I really did not like Charlotte. She irritated the hell out of me. I kept wanting to grab her, yank her away from Lythas and Coren, and tell her, "Stop trying to insinuate yourself into their relationship. Leave them alone!" She was like the fantasy version of a 'fag hag'. And then, when she latched herself onto Tsabrak, I was literally grinding my teeth. I think I would have enjoyed this [...]

3.5Warning - some explicit MF action.I was basically expecting more. It felt too simplified. Some things weren't explained (like, how do they get pregnant, how Lythas managed to remain a a virgin till 23 with his seasonals?). It showed romanticized version of slavery. Our slaver is all good and mushy. And completely out of character he (view spoiler)[ dumps his child's "mother" and leaves to the sea. Seriously? How old is he? 5? To just run away. I didn't get that. I would get that if he were a [...]

A good story but just not for me. I wanted a happier ending then reader's got but it wasn't a horrible ending just a tad sad. The story held my interest by a strand mainly because it was a mpreg series and I love reading mpregs and I kind of wished it would be similar to Chronicles of Ylandre series by Eressë . I don't think I will be reading the next installment to the series mainly because (view spoiler)[ Coren won't be showing up again and I hate when a character is killed off even if he was [...]

Fate is the first book in a fanfic series about the fantastical world Wyndrah and its inhabitants. The story includes mpreg and other fantastic happenings.A very good read that can be made into even a better read with a bit of editing with special attention paid to using the correct synonyms. I've read some of what the author had to say re the series and I hope he or she gets the time to do the editing and is able to publish the series. They are that good.Best of luck C. R. H. Hope you get back [...]

I have to say this was totally not what I expected, and I really enjoyed it. I knew what the fate at the end of the story would be but that still did not stop me from crying my eyes out! I sure hope there is a sequel.

Love this series. It's quite the epic tale, following the lives and adventures of a single family over time. The Lashran are a race entirely composed of males, split into sires and lifebearers. The story begins when a half-human lifebearer named Lythallendar is sold into slavery by his people, only to be purchased by Coren Darshaw, a human pirate. Thus forms the core family unit whose children and children's children we see in future stories. Although the particular character focus changes from [...]

2nd) I'm re-reading because I'm finally going to read some of the next stories. I think I liked this second read through. I have more sympathy for Coren (though I still wanted to smack him). I can't immagine what a shock it was to find out that he was going to be a father with a man!!! I also found I really liked Tsab. A noble pirate :) I'm going to hope in the future that he can be the support that Lythas will need.1st) That was fascinating. What a great story. Lots of exciting adventure as wel [...]

I really disliked Lythas' relationship with Coren mainly because I eeally disliked Coren for most of the story so it was hard to like him at the end. That really affected how much I could enjoy the book. I think the writing is good enough though to recommend this to anyone that has nothing to read and wants a m/m series to read.

This story looked very good at the beginning, but I was dissapointed with the sad endingI can live with not enough explanations throghout the story, little background and unreasonal characters, but the ending killed any chance at reading the sequels of this story for me. I don't like killing off main characters and switching them for someone else in the next book

I loved this story. I don't know why the author hasn't published it but I would love to actually pay for this. It was really, really good. I'm an mpreg fan and for this genre, this was amazing. There is so much crap out there published that it's sad so many readers are missing out on something good.

Just WOW! Totally out of the left field. So now I've managed to read everything from Fate to Always. Amazing. The only bad thing is I'm left hanging since the author hasn't completed the last story. I really hope someday it's finished so we can find out what happens to Antyan and Welvryn and Dagwyn and his family.

I read this ages ago twice with a separation of several years in between I'll read it again because I can't really remember it any more. But I do remember that I enjoyed it both times And ah yes I never quite forgot that when in a fantasy story people shouldn't use as lubricant the first handy thing they find

It's good. Really good. Better than many, many that are published. Other than a very few editing errors it was a well written with well rounded and enjoyable characters. What can I say, I'm hooked and I'll be reading the next installment.

the story was very unique as it had a number of twists in it a certain element that has the reader captivated and compels him or her to keep on reading till the end. as a whole it can be a great source of entertainment

An interesting story that I enjoyed. I bawled while reading the ending though. Not a happy ending, but the story continues into the second book of hers, so hopefully poor Lys gets a better ending the second time round.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!I loved it! I loved it bunches, and now that I'm finished with it, I'm off to throw a hissy fit until I can stop crying and go on to the next book.

I really enjoyed it right untill the epilogue. I'm not quite sure I fancy reading the sequel It's ongoing story rarely enough, and one of the mc is changed in the next book at thst. I don't think I like it.

this surprise me, wasn't sure what i'll read but i had fun. don't know if i missed it but not sure how the child was delivered, hey what do you expect from mpreg. oh some men can by pigs at times, since they realize it and want to do better am all for happy endings

Fun read! The mpreg is realistic, and overall pretty good.

fantastic, really grate descriptions and deep plot has u coming back for more

I really enjoyed this book.

I like this one better than I thought I would ,read some of the other books/series but could not get into them as much but this one was great

I just loved it! Absolutely fantastic!!!!

4.5 stars

It's a free read, so I'm not going to review. But I will rate it for my own bookshelf and memory.

Beautifully written. Those that are fans of mpreg this is a wonderful story, I would highly recommend it and cant wait to start on the next in this series.

too generic.

This was a low 3 stars for me. I liked the ending more than anything else. I never really warmed to the characters.

3.75 stars.I was going to give it 4.5 stars but I didnt like the ending.Re-read June 2014 -
