I rarely fall for the "bad boys" over whom other people frequently swoon, but I am so in love with Bane reading this book, it's almost ridiculous. When an author/series gives me characters whom I really like, I can forgive a lot; which is probably good for this book. I have a slight feeling that this review is going to suggest a lower rating than the four stars I gave it, but I could not stop reading this book as I couldn't tear myself away from Bane and Mirra. As expected (see my review for the [...]

Ok so I read the first and said that I would read the second. Before I review this book I want to mention a few things that I am sure other TC fans have noticed has a habit good or bad you decide to characters that have a lot of back story, but she only provides a tiny amount at a time. Key example, the Queens Blade Series. Six books total and at 5 books in you are past the midway point of her characters. I must say that book 6 in that series was the most fulfilling because you got to see the asp [...]

I flew through the second book just like the first book! I was so happy with this book because we got to see more of Bane's personality and the relationship between Mirra and Bane. I love Mirra- plain and simple and want to see her in future books! Bane is hilarious and everyone just wants to get in his pants. But still my OTP is BanexMirra! So I hope T.C. Well doesn't pull a " OH HEY DIFFERENT LOVE INTERESTS! SORRY MIRRA!!!" I swear to the Goddess T.C. I swear to the Goddess. But anyway this bo [...]

Dark God is a gut-wrenching tale of the devastating effects of betrayal, tempered by the offer of unconditional love, friendship and forgiveness. Through Bane, Southwell shows that even the darkest soul has a chance to turn to the light, no matter how slight that chance. Dark God is a heart-warming story that had me in tears in places, and giggling in others as Southwell’s undeniable sense of humour seeped into the telling. A must-read for any fantasy lover.

This was great, totally up to what I was hoping for. Just the right amount of everything. I love Mirra and Bane and their adventures. This world is just fun.Another great book by T. C. Southwell. Devoured in the span of about a day and a half, had I been able to keep reading through after five this morning, I would have.

I loved the first, but not so much the second. It's still really good, but because I'm comparing Dark God to Demon Lord, I feel like I'm all of a sudden getting a lot of clichéd romance, so I'm not sure if I'll be reading book three. To be honest, Dark God ends so nicely I'm not sure I need to go any further.

And the I got the second book and fell deeper in love with this series. it was just beautiful. with Ban feeling lost and Mirra trying to help him to get this book. it felt like I was there, like I was experiencing the whole thing it just connected with mi on a whole different level. just simply amazing. the third book couldn't come soon enough

This was a bit better than the first book in the series. It had a bit more depth and substance to it, but it still wasn't one of Southwell's best. I have not read the third book yet, but I have the feeling that she should have nipped this series in the bud.

Hooked in charactersExcellent a storyteller who has created characters I like and am interested in. More than good enough to buy the next book

Extremely impressive.
