Not only did this book give me a lot of great ideas, which I jot in the margins, but it was very enjoyable reading. The author is down to earth and gives a lot of advice using real-life examples from her own life. I also used a highlighter and a good portion of the book is now in color!

I loved the practicality and relevance of this book. Her writing style was conversational without being too relaxed. By the end I felt like the author was a good friend with whom I could share a cup of tea and a nice afternoon on a porch swing. I am in agreement with her on so many important aspects of family life--it was nice to see them all organized and written out. Definitely one of those books I'll return to time and time again

I had the opportunity to meet Jill yesterday and I got a signed copy of this book! I really enjoy it so far - and the timing is perfect for me. It addresses so many of the issues I am dealing iwth as a mom.So much of the book is amazingly relevant to me - what really spoke to me was demanding respect within the family, the family being a rest place, and choosing to handle things with grace instead of anger. VERY good book.

Great practical parenting and life skills. I had many takeaway moments and was encouraged by Jill. She is one of my favorite speakers at the Hearts at Home conferences. They have conferences for moms (all moms, not just stay-at-home) in Peoria, IL, somewhere in the South, and maybe the Twin Cities, MN. I obviously attend the IL one, haha.

This was a well written book with good advice, but it wasn't really anything I haven't heard/read before. I think if I had read it earlier in my stay-at-home mom career, it would have been more meaningful. As it was, it was more of an affirmation/reminder of how I intend to mother.

For me this was a very encouraging and pratical guide for mothering the kiddos. It has practical ideas, extends lots of grace and truly points you to the Lord. I enjoyed reading this book

Not everything really applied to my life, but I filtered through that, and found some useful reminders. Nothing earth shattering but a good, quick, easy read at this point in my life is nice.

Great book for discussing motherhood especially with other Christian moms.
