Uh-oh, I may need to buy another cookbook again I got Sarah Raven's Fresh from the Garden from the library. I remembered her name from seeing her on Gardeners' World (Titchmarsh 4-evah!) but at the time she struck me as a little odd - gardening in full-length skirts and all. I never knew she also wrote cookbooks. And a good one at that: the recipes are very interesting - and there are so many of them! (more than 400!). I'd only wish there were more photographs, but I guess the page count would'v [...]

Another book by Sarah Raven with seasonal recipes that are often greeted by "mmmmh, you can make that again another time!" For the anecdote, I ordered it on the internet and inadvertently got the American version with imperial units and "zucchini" instead of "courgette" type substitutions. The reason is that this version was 2-3 times cheaper than what turned out to be the British version with metric units, and the reason for that must be the place of print: American version printed in China, Br [...]

She's British and uses fresh garden ingredients. She also cooks for the season, so how could I not love her?
