This book is hard to like as a woman. There is no love. The women are most of the time nothing more than useful for sex. There Is one kind of love in this book and That love is broken. Just depressing. There are a lot of quotes That are racistisch. One of the main character kills a gay man because he looked at him.The World Hugo Claus writes about is the real World but thousand times worse. I expected better from Someone who is often called the best Belgian writer.He is just a shame for our coun [...]

Wel heel goed geschreven, maar het verhaal was deprimerend, grimmig, bitter en blijkbaar totaal niets voor mij. Ik denk dat het geen goed teken is als je opgelucht bent dat een boek eindelijk uit is.

America te lang. Maar goed boek met enkele tekenende passages.
