Interesting read. I think I have read this book back in 2001/2002 but if I did I did not remember anything and a story like this a normal person would never forget so a: I am not a normal person or b: I did never read it. Must be A.It was an interesting case and well written. This guy was so controlling and they let him control everything which annoyed me. I will not write any more so not to spoil it. I had to skip the prologue and chapter 1. Reading the first sentence of chapter 1 it gave me th [...]

I have no idea how this pig was able to deceive so many women. He was not attractive at all but must have been a very smooth talker. Author did a great job on presenting this case in a way that will keep he reader's attention.

Well written absorbing page-Turner.An in-depth look at three horrible crimes and the deviant con man who committed them. How an otherwise unremarkable smooth talker charmed 3 intelligent, loving women to their deaths in as he chillingly described it"his mortuary". Wild Bill Cody Neal ,as he liked to be called strutted around dressed in cowboy garb , black Stetson, tight jeans, black shirt and black duster throwing money around ,charming vulnerable women with his aw shucks ma'am manner. He was too go [...]

This is a very disturbing book in that this lowlife POS was charming enough that women trusted him past the point of no return. The book was somewhat repetitive, but the story was thoroughly covered. I had no sympathy for this murdering creature despite all his self-deprecating posturing and pleading for understanding. The murders were unusually vicious and heinous and impacted many lives. If there is any justice in the world, this self-important little man will never again see daylight.Do you ge [...]

He wasn't handsome and told some pretty tall stories yet women would still fall for this polite, mind boggling pathological liar and sociopath. It was amazing how the women trusted him even to duct tape them to a chair for a "surprise". This was a good read though some parts of the story seemed to repeat itself but if you can get past that it's worth your time.

Evil lives and victims rush to their deathsDetailed account of women duped into their own murders by Charles Manson like manipulator. A long ride for a baloney sandwich. I don't know what is more amazing Beals audacity or his victims gullibility.

OK, I confess, I have a morbid fascination with serial killers, and I do enjoy true-crime stories. They are my escape literature! :)

I thought this book was pretty good. Well written and easy to follow. First true crime book that I've read where the defendant represented himself in court. Pretty interesting how it works.

Great bookGreat bookhard to believe such evil exists. despite the author's & the families protestations it is hard to believe women would be taken in by such an evil idiot. Yet I don't judge because but for the grace of God, there go I. short book w/o the usual depth of describing the pre murder events and focus on the death penalty hearing for the limitations, a very good read.

Reading the promo, "Welcome to My Mortuary" grabbed me, and the book was good, but so repetitive. The author keeps repeating himself and keeps repeating Cody's quotes over and over again. Once is really enough for me. If you've read the book, also google Cody Neal to find out what happened next. Surprise!

RepetitiveInteresting read although highly repetitive. I like the author and read many of his stories in Westward Magazine. Bone chilling account of a narcissistic con man and the woman that were left in his wake.

From front of book:"The chilling true story of William "Wild Bill Cody" Neal - the vicious Denver lady-killer".Excellent!

Good info, important info. But not Mr. Jackson's best work. A lot of redundant info; seemed like whole sections were just copied/pasted from earlier in the book.

im done with this book it is the saddest book i ever read :(im loaning it out so read it :)
