This was a nice, sweet and short read. Anyone looking for a clean romance, this would be a nice add to their TBR. Audrey is a down to earth girl and doesn't care for an aristocracy title. She wishes her mom would just drop it, and leave her alone instead of throwing her in front of every titled man she comes across. Audrey wants nothing more than a simple life, she'd be happy being a farmer's wife. That's how simple she wants things to be for her. And if by chance she happens to fall in love, the [...]

All right, I did said at the beginning of the month, I might be posting more than one review. Since December is a crazy month, here is another review. Review posted on .Although Jane Austen is my heroine and Pride and Prejudice is my hands down favorite book, I don't read much historical fiction. The Lady and the Duke by Olivia Kelly is a fun read, whether you're a historical buff or not. Audrey is a young lady whose mother is desperate to see her get married off after two failed seasons of seeking an eligible match. I loved that Audrey was unconventional and a bit independent for a young lady of that time period. She meets her match when she [...]

This was a really cute, quick read. This story hits all the right points of a romance. There's our heroine who wants nothing more than to leave London and escape society. Add our hero, who isn't interested in a romance, he's got his plans and won't be deterred. They meet and both their plans change. There's the bump in the road that causes a misunderstanding and brings to light some truths that neither was ready to admit. William's reason for being in London part of the story was as good as the [...]

This is only the second Regency I've read, and I found it to be so sweet and entertaining! Audrey is such a likable character, down to earth and true to herself. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely little escape.

Such a beautiful story! I love the time period! Audrey is my kind of gal and I love Will's no nonsense style. He's not a stuffy Duke. Loved the whole story!
