Need to Love You is the final book to the Love Series. Over the years, I have wondered many times about Jackson and Chloe since their relationship was established prior to the opening of book one. I always wanted their story, to find out what drew them together and to read along as Megan unfolds their love story. With the release of Jackson and Chloe's story, I was able to finally come full circle with this wonderful family Megan has created. She not only gave me a wonderful story of a love wort [...]
I tried to like the story but Jackson's sudden restlessness seems it came out of left field. He behaved like a douchebag and treated his family like shit! My issue with this story was also that the timeline didn't seem to line up with previous books in this series. Chloe gave up just as much as Jackson in regards to having a baby just after high school but I didn't see her going out, getting shitfaced, and acting like an asshole.I can't see Jackson as anything but a selfish cry-ass bitch boy and [...]
I was hoping for an epilogue
My favourite by far of the whole series, but something seriously bugs me with these books!Every single female character gets pregnant accidentally! With this book I could understand, a husband and wife struggling to conceive. Which in turns puts pressure on their marriage, resulting in time needed apart! So when the finally reconcile they have unprotected sex. Fine I totally believe it, but with every other person in this family being on birth control that stops workingI mean come on, what are t [...]
Somewhat anti-climactic and fairly low-angst considering the blurb. This is a marriage-in-trouble book. The H/h married after senior year in high school because of an unplanned pregnancy. After 5 years of marriage, the couple is dealing with what-ifs, reality, lack of communication, unrealistic expectations, growing pains, trying for another baby, etc. (view spoiler)[H goes out drinking; wakes up the next morning at brother's house; doesn't remember anything. Flashbacks to a woman at the bar, he [...]
Need to Love You is the final book in the Love Series. It follows the oldest Cahill brother, Jackson. From the first book he’s been with Chloe and has a little son called Alex. This is their book.Jackson has a lot of resentment and Chloe knows that he is drifting away until one day she finds out his thoughts and it rocks her. It rocks them both and that is the crux of the story."I know no one falls in love by choice, it’s by chance. No one stays in love by that chance either. They choose to [...]
I have enjoyed this series from the beginning, so I am a little sad to see it end. However I can't put into words how much I loved this novella. I always wanted a little more on Jackson and Chloe and Megan did an amazing job telling their story. We know that they are the oldest of the couple's and had grow up pretty quick when Chloe got pregnant while still in high school. Being the guy the is Jackson marries her and has hell from his parents. I felt bad for her because she didn't get the support [...]
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Megan Smith's fantastic writing. Once I start one of her books, I'm not getting anything else done until I've finished the last page.Chloe Cahill marries her high school sweetheart right after graduation, and had a baby shortly after that. Her dreams are put on hold, but she never complained. After her son starts school, she decides to find a job. Jackson Cahill thought he did the right thing by marrying his pregnant girlfriend. He's started to get restless and resentful in his [...]
There is no way to mince words with this one. I had signed up for this review without reading the blurb all the way. If I had read in my right mind I probably wouldn't have signed up, but I am so glad that I did anyhow. This story is heartbreakingly beautiful in all of the best ways. I am rating it at 4 stars simply because some of the back and forth, I had some trouble adjusting to. This is what I would call a "second thought" book. Where all choices are reconsidered and the simple question of [...]
There are few series that capture the heart of family. The sense of love, unity, happiness, and strength. Megan captured this in each of the Love series books. This final novel is no different. We read about Jackson and Chloe in each of the previous books, and I couldn't wait for this to come out. Jackson and Chloe, married just out of high school, face hardships like many couples do. One thing I liked about Need To Love You is that although they are five years into their marriage, we get to see [...]
I received a ARC of this book in exchange of a honest review. I have to start by saying that I love this author and all of her books (even though stay for me gutted me). This one did not disappoint either. This is also kind of bittersweet because we are saying goodbye to a terrific series. I loved this book and the relationship between Jackson and Chloe. It drew me in for the start all the way to the end. My favorite thing about the book was how it goes so much with real life situations/circumst [...]
We were able to see the relationship of Jackson and Chloe Cahill grow through the eyes of the other Cahill siblings in books 1-4. Now we get to experience their love in book 5. If you enjoyed the first four books of this series, you will love this fifth and final book. If you are a softy like me, make sure you have a tissue for the first half of this book. Megan Smith has fast became one of my favorite authors. I cannot say enough about her ability to tell a story and make you feel he emotions o [...]
I have really loved this series (and rated all previous books very high) but this book felt like it was lacking a strong plot. I feel like half the chapters could have been left out and it would have made a good novella instead of adding in unnecessary stuff in order to stretch it out into a full length novel.
I so loved the direction that this story took! It was all about fixing what was wrong in their marriage and not giving up. The ending was perfect but would have loved an epilogue a few years out! Loved the entire series!!
Megan continues to grow and each story gets better!!!
I would rate this book higher but there were way too many inconsistencies for me to ignore. If this book would have started the series, then it wouldn't be so bad. However, since it is the last of the Cahill's, the time line doesn't add up. This book talks about how Chloe got pregnant with Alex while in high and he is now five. In the first book of the series, McKenzie is already out of high school and just turned 19 when Alex is born, putting both Chloe and Jackson around 23 years old. If we go [...]
I enjoyed this book the most out of the whole series, maybe because the situation seemed realistic.Chloe and Jackson have been married since high school when Chloe got pregnant. Their son, Alex, is now 5 and starting kindergarten. Both Chloe and Jackson are feeling somewhat distant from each other as they have been trying unsuccessfully to have another baby. Jackson especially is feeling restless and resentful of his life. Things come to a head one day when Jackson blows off a family dinner to g [...]
This was an interesting book & someone going through a rough patch in their marriage might learn a few things. I thought it was slightly too long & only parts of the book meant something to me. I'm more of an upbeat sort of person when I choose books to read because I've got enough heartache in real life.
Well, I thought this was going to be a delicious angst fest, and the first half was.e second half was were this story lost me. Enter in the marriage counselor and this book went all boring on me.
A summary of my review of Trying Not to Love You:These characters and the way they react to things make everything that happens seem contrived, over-the-top, melodramatic whatever you want to call it. I understand that there are a lot of readers out there who enjoy that sort of thing, but it's just not my cup of tea. I'll continue the series but my expectations aren't all that high. 2 stars.A summary of my review for Easy to Love You:More of the same in this book. Everyone wants to protect Macke [...]
A story about thinking life thoroughly. You meet the love your life in high school, get pregnant at such a young age, not planned obviously and your whole future just went out the window with this. Just when the man of your life tells you he's going to take care of you and your child and you have nothing to worry about, you think you have it all because the most important thing you have is his love and support.Although Jackson loved Chloe he felt trapped. He felt like he didn't get to enjoy life [...]
This is an amazing instalment.I'm so glad I read this. From the very beginning, during reading Not trying to love you, I've been fascinated with Jackson and Chloe. Those two are just my perfect couple. Knew from the beginning that they would be together 'til the end. I'm so glad that this book was everything I've been looking for.Chloe and Jackson have been married for several years now but everything isn't as it used to be. They encounter hardships, they face problems, such as no memories of the [...]
**3.5 stars**Need to Love You is the sixth book in The Love Series by Megan Smith. This is the final book in the series and focuses on Chloe and Jackson. It is the emotional and moving story about a couple experiencing marital issues. It’s one that everyone can relate to, regardless of your current situation. The main characters, Chloe and Jackson, are currently married with a young son. Throughout the story, we get glimpses into their history: Chloe had strict parents who expected a lot from h [...]
I have a thing for second chance romances. It's not often I find one where the couple is still married and yet trying to find the love in their relationship again. For that reason alone, I knew I had to read this book. The story caught my attention early on and I found it enjoyable.Jackson Cahill is one lucky man. His wife and child love him but he's not very happy with his life.He got married at a young age and he's not happy with his life at home. He's fighting with his wife or spending too mu [...]
Totally adore the Cahills, this is a great Series, it's been lovely getting to know each and every couple. Each couple have all been through tough heart breaking times, and thankfully worked through them.Jackson and Chloe have been slightly different than the other Cahill clan.Having been a stable part of every other book, I was not expecting their story to be as testing for them both. It just goes to show that all coples are very different, and deal with personal issues in very seperate ways.Thi [...]
Received a copy in exchange for an honest review“I loved his eyes, loved the way he followed me with them when it’s just the two of us like this. No friends, no brothers, no sister, just us.”5 beautiful stars!! I loved, loved, loved Chloe and Jackson’s story. I’m so glad Megan finally gave us a glimpse into their background and story!! Great series and this book was even greater!!!Just when you thought you had it all.Chloe Cahill’s dreams changed after becoming pregnant in high schoo [...]
I have been addicted to the Cahill family since we started with Mackenzie and Hunter's story years ago !! Chloe and Jackson are the only 2 that were already established at that time so we never really saw their start yet we have journeyed with them through their present days. Now we get their story !! I was excited and nervous , knowing Megan Smith and how she likes to torture us with heartache and angst and sometimes even devastationChloe and Jackson are high school sweethearts !! This is am [...]
Need to Love You gives us Chloe and Jackson’s story which I enjoyed a lot. Chloe feels Jackson is pulling away and all she wants is for her husband to love her like he used to. Jackson is a totally different man in this book, and not the man I fell in love with in the previous books. Jackson feel pressured to have another baby; that’s all Chloe seems to want since all of the women in her family is pregnant or has had more than one baby. Jackson is having panic attacks and regrets not being a [...]

This is their time to shine.Chloe has always seem to have life under control and organized. Being a stay at home mom makes that a little easier. Her love and connection with Jackson is very strong and thriving. With Alex heading off to school she feels it might be time to take her life back a little bit.
