Ahhhh, yet another one of my one dollar Big Lot find's, and again it was a pretty good book. If you want a quick easy mystery to read this is another one of those. It's been quite some time since I have read it, but I do remember that I did enjoy it.
i really enjoyed this book. it was sufficiently well written to keep me reading and interested in the story. the characters were interesting and well rounded and believable. i will look forward to reading her other "water" series!
Pete & Connie, newly remarried, are called home from their honeymoon when Sarah Abrew confesses to murder.
A really good mystery set in Maine, great settings and development.
Sally Gunning’s Peter Bartholomew mystery series includes ten books, While each is a stand-alone story, I really enjoyed reading all ten in order. The main characters appear and re-appear, and relationships are formed. The “mystery” that riders atop all the separate cases is, will Peter and his ex-wife, Connie, get back together again? Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books1 star This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.2 stars This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.3 stars This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.4 stars I really [...]
I like the main characters.
With this book I have decided I don't like detective stories. This book was better than most in terms of allowing the reader to remember which leads are being followed. I thought the plot was convoluted, as many detective stories are. It was about who killed who and why, with a bunch of other stuff thrown in.
