      1. Not Yet, Yvette2. The book teaches about patience.3. This is a great book for teaching children about patience. Yvette was SO excited to surprise her mom for her birthday. Yvette had to go through a series of tasks before surprising her mom. It's a good book to read to children when they are excited for an event that is coming up and I can use this book in my classroom and remind the children how Yvette had to wait through all of her tasks until she could finally surprise her mom.

"Is it time yet, Dad?" Young children are always asking when will it be time to eat or leave somewhere. I'm sure most children will be able to connect to Yvette. This is a great story to teach children about giving gifts to others, especially their parents.

First and foremost, I picked out this book because Yvette is my mother's name and judging by the title I thought it had to do with patience, which is a little ironic because my mother has a lot of patience. I love how colorful this book is. I think that it teaches children the importance of waiting and how much more special the thing you are waiting for is after you use patience and wait until the right time. I would probably read the book to the children and have them come up with things that t [...]
