I received a free copy of this book from the Group, Lovers of Paranormal, in exchange for an honest review. This is the second book in the series that follows Sarah Milton, a police detective in Los Angeles, and her sidekick, Anna Enigma, who is a twelve or thirteen year old ghost. This story finds Sarah revisiting a previous case, ”The Fancy Dress Killer”, Harry Sands. There is now a copycat killer out there who is targeting people involved in the capture and conviction of Harry Sands. Sara [...]

I wondered whether i'd like this book as much as I did the prequel but I loved it and never wanted it to end!Falls under many genres; Mystery, thriller, fantasy and paranormal.Sarah Milton is a detective with the Violent Crimes unit in the L.A. P.D. and its noticeably intuitive and perceptive if not a little odd to her co-workers but all are used to it since her behaviour changed when she got shot. What her friends don't realise is when she came back from her temporary death she could see ghosts [...]

You could get the impression that this is a rather light-hearted crime thriller, but really it's not. There is humor, certainly, some black humor along with rather an adult, chick-lit type of humor, but mostly it's pretty grim. More than half the book is a pretty solid police procedural with a few paranormal goings-on, as they investigate a killer with connections to a former case – cue lots of flashbacks to the former case, often disturbingly from the killer's viewpoint. And then we have a sh [...]

Sarah faces more murder and mayhem in Fidelis in Aeternum. This time, her loyalty, her friends', and more about their individual gifts is revealed. I was honored to read an advance copy of this book from Booksprout. In my honest opinion, it's another thrilling, action packed read. Sarah is apparently not the only member of the LAPD with supernatural gifts. Love and death also don't seem to mix well. If you enjoy intense cop serials with a supernatural twist, this could be your next "can't put it [...]

I love this book. The main character is a pistol of a lady and takes no crap from anyone, and she is headstrong . I plan on reading more from this writer in the future.I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the second book in the Sarah Milton Chronicles. For my review of the first book go to: samaustinwriter.wordpress/What I like most about these books is that they're funny. Not just 'small smile' funny, there were definitely a few 'laugh out loud' funny moments to be had. Most of the humor comes from Anna who does what every ghost should do when they're stuck on the sidelines watch people's lives. Make sarcastic comments and pull the occasional prank. To be fair, she does try to help out he [...]

4 stars! Summary In this second book of the Reading The Dead series, Sarah Milton is faced with a new investigation where she has to prove her old partner is innocent for a crime he didn't commit. Various murders are occurring in a copy-cat fashion of the "Fancy Dress Killer", a murderer that she was responsible for putting behind bars. With the help of Sarah's ghostly side-kick, Anna Nigma, they are thrown into the paranormal world once more, realising that they are dealing with more than just [...]

The second book in this series is just as good as the first. I am impressed with Cameron's ability to construct such elaborate novels. Sarah Milton is a detective in the Violent Crimes Unit and they have an impressive team that is dedicated to solving the heinous murders that take place in LA. Sarah is unique as she has some supernatural help in the form of a ghost, Anna. Anna, adds mystery, wittiness and a great deal of fun to the storyline. I enjoyed her jokes, humor and her ultimate willingne [...]

Reading The Dead: Fidelius in Aeternum (The Sarah Milton Chronicles, #2)I received a free copy, through LoP, in exchange for a review. Now on to the next, or so Sarah Milton thought. She never really thought she would be revisiting the “Fancy Dress Killer” Harry Sands, since he was convicted and locked away. But now, copycat killings are starting to surface, leaving Sarah and Anna, her ghost partner in crime, trying to figure out are they truly just copycat killings or is there something more [...]

Cameron: From the mind that brought you the first Reading the Dead comes a continuation of an exhilarating story. First and foremost let me begin by stating that I received a free copy of the book from the author in exchange for my honest review (LOP R2R). Thank youI have really enjoyed this story; Anna Enigma is my favorite character. She is spunky and funny, I would love her as a friend. I was a bit disappointed with Sarah’s actions at the end of the book. I would have loved to give this book a 5 star review however some of my previous questions were not answered and some additional ones were added. I d [...]

I was given Book two in the Sarah Milton Chronicles, Fidelis in Aeternum by J.B Cameron in exchange for an honest review. I thought the first book Reading The Dead was good this one is even better. After attending her fathers wedding Sarah gets home to find a frantic voicemail from her former partners wife. It turns out Dan has been arrested for a murder he didn't commit. After a little detective work Sarah is convinced it's the work of The Fancy Dress Killer, but how is that possible when the co [...]

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the “Lovers of Paranormal” Group on and the Author. Absolutely wonderful paranormal detective story. Sarah Milton is at it again, fighting criminals that the rest of the police department can't even see. With Anna, her ghostly teenage sidekick, she manages to get into some pretty sticky situations. I often wondered if Sarah was going to end up as a ghost herself with all of the danger she put herself in. I very much enjoyed Sarah's [...]

I received a copy of this story in exchange for a honest review. The first book in this series was good but this one is better. The characters are more developed and the storyline flows smoother. The murder mystery had a stronger paranormal component with the involvement of several different evil spirits. Overall enjoyable read.
