very short and disappointing.I wanted to read something else by the author who wrote; The Bride of Devil's Acre. But this was just 'paint by numbers' erotica. The ending made no sensed spoilers ahead but seriously, it was all pretty obvious from the start;Julia hates her job and so takes a mysterious woman's offer to see some ruins on her island. There she gets lost and meets Asterion aka the Minator. (And no there is no beastiality.) They have sex (I skimmed a lot of that), and she leaves. In th [...]
Once again, Jennifer Kohout puts her sizzling hot pen to paper and voila! We have another slightly erotic tale of fantasy, legends and myths come to life! Sprinkled with her signature talent for spicing up a tale, The Ruins takes us on a journey to a small private island where ancient ruins have remained unexplored, their mysteries intact.Julia has worked hard to make it in the study of ancient history and Greek mythology, when the promotion she deserves is snatched from under her nose, an offer [...]
Oh wow! The island of Avernus Where's my ticket I want to live there This was my first book by Jennifer Kohout and can honestly say that the author did not disappoint A brilliant short read that was packed with mystery, intrigue and well written steamy scenes. Julia working in a museum as an art and antiquities expert is given the opportunity to visit the island of Avernus and inspect the ruins! What she finds there is not at all what she expected but certainly something she had dreamt about! I' [...]
INTERESTINGA twist with a twist. A very unique way of looking at mythology. Julia is certainly different. Hopefully Mel knows what has happened. Glad Julia got a new job and from under Ted.
Good readI liked reading this one as I said I love reading about the Greek gods and goddesses this one was a modern tale now the story was a little slow getting into the plot but still it's a good read. Props to Jennifer kohout for a great story!
I enjoyed this book, despite what I thought I was going to into. It's a short read, and the author wrote this with quite a talent to back it up. I liked that she was able to take greek mythology and weave it with today's day and age. I would recommend this book for a quick and entertaining read.
This was a quick read, but it still delivers on a great story with amazing characters. There is a little bit of something for everyone, romance, supernatural happenings, and a bit of mystery. I think anyone would enjoy this series of books.
this was a great hot story, loved how it was all set out and I was so disappointed it ended
I was given this book in exchange for my honest review. I am a nut for romance novels but they have to keep my attention. I could not stop reading these books.
enjoyed the re-thinking of the legend. Well written love scenes and confident, intelligent, heroine
Really liked this.
