      Mother truckin' sons of biscuits. Read this book. Now. I mean it. Click the link, buy the book, read the book. When you get to the end, come back to tell me if you too had your jaw drop, lol. I was already a fan of John's work. I fell in love with his principal character, the dreamy, dangerous Adam Caine, but Ruul Vin-Bornn , the detective in The Case of the Empty Killer could give that lit crush a run for its money.This book, is a slight departure from the battle heavy books that came before it [...]

      This was a quick and fun read. Scott sets up a creepy mystery in which the establishment/government is complicit. The government is not to be trusted at all. Still the bad guy is very bad and the system that alows him to function is conceivably more guilty than he is. I liked the characters and the setting although I felt I may have missed something from the last book in the series. If you fear the depths of the sewers or rats you should turn back now.The book would have benefited from more care [...]
