Swept Away is the first installment in a four part serial by Jennifer Haymore. This was my first time reading Ms. Haymore's work, and I can honestly say that it won't be the last. I was pleasantly surprised by how her words brought great imagery to my head. I loved how she not only had interesting characters; but was able to paint a clear picture of the surroundings that she described. In Swept Away we are introduced to a woman named Tara. She has been through hell and back through out the years. [...]

This is part one of a four part serial I'm already a fan of this author so I was excited to dive into her newest series. So far I'm intrigued by this story where there is obviously more going on than just a lovely boat trip to Hawaii much more. Tara is recovering from the physical and emotional trauma of losing her sister in a fatal accident. She survived the accident but her physical recovery has been difficult. She is determined to move forward and in an effort to claim back her courage she de [...]

Being part of a serial, this first book was an easy read and it introduce the characters to us. I enjoy this story but I do not like it how Ethan and Tara fell for each other so fast. She is not listening to her mind in my opinion even when Ethan said it's not good for them to be together but I can't blame her as well. This is like Tara's getaway romance from all her problems that had occur to her. On the other hand, I wonder what Ethan is hiding from Tara. The one thing that keeps getting to me [...]

Being that this was a short novel in four part serial, it was an extremely easy read. I was able to read the story in one sitting on a road trip. Tara is a twenty one year old who was in a terrible car accident that left her with a bad scar on her leg and a limp, but her biggest loss in the accident was the loss of her sister. I'm a huge fan of this author's historicals, so when I received an ARC of Swept Away, I couldn't wait to dive right in. While the story moves well and is an easy, light read, I had a bit of a problem with the character development between hero (Ethan) and heroine (Tara). Really, I enjoyed the natural flow of dialogue and body language whenever Kyle and Tara were on stage much, much more. But the chemistry between Ethan and Tara didn't make sense to me. The underlying mystery is interesting; I''m [...]

2,5 starsIt was short and enjoyable, but I don't think I'll read the next part. I think I know why Ethan said it was a bad idea for them to be together and I really don't like where it's going if it's what I think it is. The ending was coming from nowhere and Kyle's girlfriend (sort of) is just annoying. Wow! I think this is going to be a great series! The cliffhanger was huge, and I cannot wait to see what will happen! There wasn't a whole lot of steam, but given the way it was headed, I have a feeling there is plenty to come in the next books! I can't wait to learn more about all of the characters. I think the developing relationships may bring on a good amount of drama. I'm looking forward to joining them for more adventures on their Hawaii sailing trip!
