This is the story about the “poor little rich girl.” Well, that is what she called herself. Actually, as I read this, other the obscene amount of money and the outrageous notoriety, I could identify with Katherine/Katie. I have an acquaintance with someone much like her mother in many ways. I could see this happening and totally got why she felt the need to remove herself entirely from the situation. Then to choose Seattle as her escape, *sigh* what better place to go to heal? I completely g [...]

Amanda wonderfully tells a story about the real person behind the celebrity status. Katie is someone most young women can relate to after taking out the "rich" factor. She shows us what perhaps most celebrities have to battle with. Though not completely broken her heart and mind learn to trust and love. Her Alpha male is a great balance and knows just when to take control and care and nurture Katie. We could all learn something from reading Life of Privilege.

LIFE OF PRIVILEGE was unfortunately a very dull and lifeless read that did nothing for me.Runaway fashion house heiress Katherine Dawson has had enough of her insane, puppet-like life with her mother pulling the strings, so she leaves her successful fiancé at the altar in NYC and heads to Seattle to live incognito with a friend of her grandmothers'. She meets struggling writer and sometimes nude art model Royce Reynolds and has no clue how to act, as her whole life has been scripted and now she [...]

Smart and Sexy! I was initially pulled in by the beautiful cover and the blurb - I'm a sucker for stories about women reinventing themselves. I loved the characters - Katie and Royce were adorable. I loved the setting - Seattle - need I say more? And as an artist, I really enjoyed the art element of the story. The writing was also very good.My only complaint was that it was a little slow to begin, but sexy Royce was definitely worth the wait. :)
