      An interesting concept was somewhat wasted in this book, for while the writing style was technically good, for anyone who has read more than a couple of apocalyptic novels, there was nothing new here.The characters were somewhat uninteresting and one-dimensional. An ordinary man who built a shelter because of a dream? His slightly estranged wife, disagrees but comes around eventually. A teenage overly cliched daughter, complete with inappropriate boyfriend, and emotional crisis every two seconds [...]

      A good effortI don't like to trash anyone's work, but this book was not my style. The characters seemed stilted and I never truly got an adequate picture of them.The meteor strike was a good premise but not very entertaining. I would try another book from this author.
