      This was the ninth book in the series, and, while they might be okay, I find I don't really like them. Perhaps if they were not all cliffhangers (which I detest), or if they were put together into a longer book. They're all short, and, to date, none of them has an actual ending. I've found myself reading the last couple only to find out the ending. Which, of course, hasn't happened yet. There are three left in the series. I'm still undecided if I want to bother with them, or not. It's a shame be [...]

      Hope Welsh's "Black as Obsidian" is the ninth book in the "Karma's Witches" series. Ian wants to protect his brothers and half sisters from his father's evil intentions, and feels that the best way to do that is to leave Karma. The main problem is that he's still without a body. So, unless he can get to a high traffic area, he's stuck walking. Since his father is currently residing in his body, he can also sense that Ian is away from the safety of Flint's home.       Loved this book the 9th in the Karma's Witches series. This story we learned more about Ian and what his fathered actually was capable of. Ian also met Autumn in this book. We shall what the future holds for those two. This is an awesome series. A must read in order in my opinion!
