Finding Sarah was a heart-warming read about life and love in a rural English village as a new resident, Sarah, moves in to rebuild her life. However, there was more underneath the surface of the charming village than first appeared. Despite Sarah's dream of finding happiness and, indeed, love, there were several residents and characters who had other ideas.

After a nasty divorce Sarah moves into a cottage in Lower Nutton. She used to live in the city, but loves the peace and quiet of the countryside. Her two children are both grownups now, so she can make her own choices. She started her family at a young age and doesn't have much work experience. Fortunately she manages to find a job that suits her very well. She's having a completely new life and she likes it. Sarah also meets a man she admires and maybe even loves. When she finds out Nick is the [...]

A couple of years ago I read ‘By My Side’, which I really enjoyed, it was beautifully written and incredibly romantic, so expectations were high for this book, and it is precisely that.Wendy creates a lovely setting in Lower Nutton and it’s surrounding areas around Nutt Hill, you can imagine all the beautiful and picturesque scenery everywhere you look. The sense of community is captured well here, in both the welcoming kind like Maggie shows, and the way that if you’re from the outside, [...]

Sarah’s reasons for moving to Nutt Hill are not what I originally thought and the twists keep on coming, as her story progresses. Sarah is a lovely woman, although her lack of self belief is frustrating. The reasons for this are not immediately self evi [...]

I received this book for an honest review. What a wonderful and refreshing book. I wasn't really sure what to expect from this book as I have never read this author previously, but I was pleasantly surprised and will probably read any other book she writes.Sarah is a divorced 38 year old mother who finds herself having to start over again after her husband sells their house form under her. With the help of her two sons she finds a small cottage in a quiet village and tries to begin again. Sarah r [...]

Finding Sarah is a book that really warmed my heart. I loved Sarah and I was cheering for her to find her voice, to be confident in her choices and abilities. Sarah has never put herself first. She always put her sons and ex husband ahead of everything which leaves her divorced with 2 grown sons. Her home is sold out from under her so she had to move to a small cottage. Sarah has to find a job because she is running out of money. Maggie, an older lady who is wheelchair-bound, hires her as her pe [...]

Finding Sarah by Wendy Lou Jones is a beautifully woven novel. The story opens readers' hearts to more. Sure we all have had bad times and thought less of ourselves at certain points but that doesn't mean we're not worthy of love. Love, hope, and happiness are all themes found in this read. I was instantly moved and inspired by Wendy Lou Jones tale. Maybe there's hope after all. Divorced and rebuilding her own life, Sarah moves to a small-town. Her two boys companying her as well. Here, she mana [...]

I really enjoyed reading Finding Sarah by Wendy Lou Jones. This is the first book I have read by this author and I will definitely be looking for more books by her. I liked Nick and Sarah's story. I really enjoyed their characters as well. Their chemistry was undeniable and jumped off the pages. I liked Sarah's integrity she was a very loving and giving character. Nick was very sweet and was quite understanding for the most part. I also enjoyed the secondary characters in the book. Especially Sa [...]

Finding Sarah. This book was interesting to me. Sarah was an older woman having to start a new life after her husband leaves her with nothing. She has 2 sons that helps her get started but she needs to find her way alone. Sarah finds a place to live and work that helps her move on. To her surprise she meets a younger man that fills her heart with love she didn't get from her husband. Nick and Sarah were ridiculed about their relationship at first but in the end was accepted. Sarah goes through s [...]

Found! Another great Author! Finding Sarah was so amazing! Loved Sarah and Nick! Sarah is only looking to move on and heal from her Divorce! But what she finds is a job, some great (but quite nosey) friends and a Town that knows everyone's business! But most of all she finds is Nick ! And that love is better the second time around! I even loved her scum bag ex husband! Towards the end when he redeems his self(sorta)! Very emotional read for sure! But felt it needed a More detailed epilogue! Need [...]

I usually read crime fiction but fancied something gentler for a change and I'm very glad I added this to my kindle. Deeply romantic without being oversweet and with lovely characters I would be happy to have as neighbours. I would recommend this to my mum and my gran too, but maybe wouldn't say quite how attractive I found the hero. I would leave that as a surprise for them to make their own minds up.I was starting to think that country life was being described in an over romantic way. But actu [...]

This was a sweet, well-written book. Sarah needs to start over and buys a small cottage in a small village. She is recovering from a divorce and finds a job with the matriarch of the village, Maggie. Nick is the vicar of the village. He and Sarah find themselves attracted to each other, but there are obstacles in their path. I enjoyed that both characters learned to open themselves up to the possibilities, both had to overcome challenges and both experienced internal growth along the way. I rece [...]

Do you need a wonderful forever story? This is the one! Sarah had me crying throughout the story. I felt just like her approx 20 years ago when I was in an abusive marriage. She is so loving, caring and she will draw you right into this story. It has a very happy ending. Takes a lot to get to the happy ending but it all works out for the best. Nick is every woman's dream come true!

Just finished this book. I wanted to love it. I loved the characters and the setting. I found some parts to be a bit slow. However, the story was truly loving. The patience, forgiveness and love the characters had was heart warming. I will definitely read more from this author.
