I’ve just finished the first 8 chapters of the new series! I have to say that it seems amazing! It has mystery, love, friendship, kawaii cuteness and magic. I love the fact that there are new especial cards with exciting new powers. I can’t wait to read the next chapters and watch the tv show. The first manga starts when Sakura Kinomoto is going to high school. We get to see Shaoran, Tomoyo and the gang again. It feels like no time has passed and the warm and fuzzy feeling that SCC leaves you [...]

As a girl born in the 90s, Cardcaptor Sakura (in Greek translated as 'The Adventures of Niki' for some weird reason) was one of my favourite TV shows, long before my fascination with Japanese culture seriously began. I would eagerly wake up at 8 every weekend morning to catch the show on TV and I was more than excited when I discovered there was a manga version I could read to my heart's content. Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card is sort of the sequel to the original Cardcaptor Sakura story that swe [...]

Magnifico tornare indietro nel tempo e leggere nuovamente le avventure di Sakura, con altri nuovi misteri e carte. È stato uno dei personaggi che mi ha sempre accompagnato durante l'infanzia e cresciuta.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the review copy in exchange for an honest review. If you know me a little you will know that when it comes to manga CLAMP has written my favorites. While I have a high preference for Tsubasa and XXX Holic, I have always found Cardcaptor Sakura to be such a cute read. So when I saw this on Netgalley I had to go for it. If you are unfamilar with Cardcaptor Sakura, in it Sakura is selected to become the cardcaptor after she found a book in her dad’s st [...]

I am a huge fan of anything Clamp puts out. I remember watching the original Cardcaptors series when it was on t.v though admittedly the dub was a bit comical. *lol* Suffice it to say, when I saw that there would be a new anime (already watching it on Crunchyroll!) and then that this volume was available on NetGalley, I leaped at the chance to review it.Since it's been awhile since I've read the earlier books in the series, I was glad there was a recap of characters for the Clow Card arc and t [...]

We're just a couple of days from the new anime starting and I'm super psyched! I was even more excited when I found out that there's a manga for the new anime. The art is still as adorable as ever and I felt myself smiling at the feeling of nostalgia that overcame me as I read. I'm really going to enjoy seeing Sakura grow through middle school and become the amazing woman I know she will be. I can't wait to see the outfits Tomoyo designs and how Li/Eriol and all the rest will play into this. I'm [...]

Thank you to NetGalley and Kodansha Comics for providing me with an ARC! All opinions are my own.I grew up watching Cardcaptor Sakura, so when I heard they were going to continue the story, I almost had a heart attack. Even though I have already seen some of the new episodes from the anime and, therefore, already knew the whole plot, I still liked it. I think it's a solid start for the new arc - it maintains everything I liked about the original story, but adds some new elements that could get a [...]

I don’t have many « nostalgia » feelings with Card Captor Sakura that would affect my reading much.I remember watching it, and a few years ago I had started reading the original manga but never finished it.But I have enough understanding to enjoy this new series. I don’t read many mangas and always enjoy the cute fluffy ones (and the Magical Girls even more) so there is no reason for me not to enjoy that one ;)

The art is beautiful and how cool is it to see the matured looking Sakura Kinomoto. I'm drawn into to the story, eager for more. The art is what makes me give this a "loved it" 5 star review. I'll have to see where the story goes before I can give it a more solid review. The new cards were quite the surprise, too!

A sequel?! I'm happy and yet sad. This is an awesome anime and a good manga, but it really didn't need a sequel. On the other hand, seeing cute syaoran and Sakura interactions again would be funny and cute.I especially missed Touya and his brotherly affections the most. I wonder if they are going to connect this series to Tsubasa chronicles the way I think they are. It will be interesting to find out.

Cuando las CLAMP empezaron esta continuación de su mejor obra, me alegre y preocupe a partes iguales. De momento sigue en la línea del manga original, PERO visto lo acontecido en Tsubasa odiaría que esto derivará en un giro dramático final. Veremos.
