I thought it was an interesting twist for this book to take on the POV of Brie rather than Lex like it had done in book one. In this book, we see exactly how Brie feels about being a Protector and the way that she struggles to come to terms with who she is. I love the author’s unique and humorous twists on old concepts such as the horseman of the apocalypse and the Norse God, Loki. There is a lot of suspense in this book and once you get into it, it’s hard to put down. This book, just like th [...]
I loved this book as much as I loved reading the first one. I missed being inside Lex's mind and her smart alicness. Seeing everything from Brie's point of view was different though. Getting to meet different Gods and the Forces was a real treat. There was so much to experience in this book and all the new places to explore I loved it.
In this book, we get a better look at Brie and her insecurities. While she was a popular student as a cheerleader and the "homecoming" queen sort, she just can't seem to find her spot as a protector.
