The Trail to Love is the fourth book from the Soul Mate Tree series and my first introduction to Tina Susedik’s work. I liked it. I liked Jack and Sarah and loved how they interacted with one another. Though some scenes were a little spicier than I like to read in a book, that is a personal preference of mine and I’m sure others would not be bothered by it.I give The Trail to Love 3-1/2 stars and recommend it for those who love a good historical romance with lessons of learning how to let go [...]

I love westerns but I just can’t imagine what it was like for people to go by wagon train for 2000 miles to another state. That’s amazing. Again the Soul Mate tree puts two lonely people together. Jack had lost his wife and son in childbirth four years before and Sarah lost her mean and abusive husband when the idiot lost a bet about riding a horse in the snow and the horse lost his footing and Peter fell off and broke his neck. I was pretty happy about that.Anyway, Sarah practiced driving t [...]

Life and love in the old west was tough and dangerous. Jack lost his wife and their child as she tried to give birth. Sarah lost her abusive husband to the bottle and an accident. Jack escaped by becoming a guide on the Oregon Trail the same trail that Sarah and her young son are taking as she travels to Oregon City as a Mail Order Bride. The trail is no picnic and Sarah and Jack grow close as they fight nature, gossips and men who think that women traveling alone are fair game. Watching Jack an [...]

This story hit all the buttons I look for when picking up a historical western. Cowboys, strong women, romance. You wouldn't think to find love on a wagon train, much less one when you're heading out to get married! The characters are both strong, they've both lost in love, and they've both met the Soul Tree. Not ones for wishing upon a star these two come together like a shooting one. Kicking up dust and a bit of suspense along the way, both will find their hearts and the healing begins. The mi [...]
