Murder Train is the tenth book in Stacey Alabaster's The Bakery Detectives mystery series. I received an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.Having misplaced Murder Train I read Houses and Homicide (Book 11) first which I mentioned in the review for Houses and Homicide. I looked for my digital copy of Murder Train more aggressively after reading Houses and Homicide as there were few references appearing in the book regarding Murder Train that I didn't understand. The Bakery Detectives s [...]

Rachel is wildly schizophrenic and unlikable in this oneI have to take a break from Stacey Alabaster's books for awhile. This is number ten and I have all of the series but I just can't deal with the changes in Rachael's personality. In this book Rachael was petty, jealous, conceited, and lied at every turn, even to Pippa. I was determined to finish the book and l am happy that I did because it got better. This just wasn't a good time for me, too frustrating to see lies to a best friend and a ch [...]

Pippa & Rachel are on their way to the big city to meet up with Cheryl, who has offered to buy Rachel's bakery when the train that they are on grinds to a stop because a dead body turns up.I have always enjoyed the Bakery detective series, but this one is not one of my favourites. In fact, I feel that Rachel acted a lot out of character, being silly and irresponsible about the meeting that they were going to. I can understand her apprehension about the merger/buy-out deal and therefore not r [...]

I’m a fan of the bakery detective mysteries. I love Rachael & Pippa and have all the books! But, with that being said I was very disappointed with Rachael she was petty & jealous in this one. Rachael was more worried about the “amateur” detective on the train and what he knew before she did & her wanting to look better then him that she didn’t even seem to care about actually investigating the actual murder. Then, Worst of all she kept lying to Pippa! Not Cool! Murder Train o [...]

Rachael and Pippa are in the middle of a murder again. Though not as suspects this time, they had their hands full of suspects and stuck in the middle of nowhere. A two-hour train ride turns into several days of sleuthing and cooking. This story is very enjoyable and interesting. I could not put it down. The dilemma Rachael and Pippa were trying to solve with the bakery added to the depth of the mystery. The characters were so diverse, it made for quite an interesting gaggle of suspects. I canno [...]

I received a free copy for an honest review. Rachel and Pippa are on their way to a big meeting in the city, when the train they are on is stopped in the middle of nowhere due to a murder. They are all trapped there while people are trying to figure out what happened and who the murderer is. It’s a little different than her other series. An easy, quick read.

Murder TrainI loved this book it is a great twisting cozy mystery. Stacey Alabaster is very good at what she does and I think this probably one of the hardest books to the murderer out other crowd of suspects.

Not as good as Stacey Alabaster's other books in the series -- disappointing since the suspense was lacking and there wasn't a lead-up to the ending. Usually I really enjoy her books

Rachael owns a bakery in a small town. Her best friend Pippa is also her work mate. Rumor has it a bakery chain is coming to town but turns out they want to buy Rachael's bakery. When Rachael and Pippa take a train to the city to discuss the buyout they are stopped in the middle of their trip by a murder. And then the fun begins.

It is always enjoyable following Rachel & Pippa to see what they will get into next. Their adventure on the train is no exception. Another fun book in this series.
