If one can get passed the overt sexism, the science fiction and writing is quite good. I've read all the books in this series, and I quite enjoy them. I find the story interesting, the author handles action well, and I actually find the silver-tongue of the main character enticing. That said, the book is disgustingly sexist. Every female character is introduced based on their looks. In fact, of all female characters - small and large - introduced in the book, they are all attractive but one. And [...]
Light summer reading. No principles, morals or sensibilities being taxed. Space opera with no attempt to hard science, which is okay with me at this point. A bit of a wild ride, some unexpected twists of plot. But as it is the case with sequels, it looks as if by the third novel in the series, the author ran out of steam. Or rather the characters that used to be fun, are turning annoying. This book felt more like a bridge to the next one. Would I read the fourth in the series? Yes. Some things t [...]
The finale?A thoroughly enjoyable series of books, but, as is all too common, the "final" story had a Perils of Pauline ending. I like a sequel, prequel, whatever as much as the next person, but I also like stories to have a conclusion.
Another great seriesMore I need more. I'm loving this authors work. If you like space opera that's close to home you'll love this series. I will look forward to more from this author.
Continues to be entertaining, the story, once you are able to suspend some disbelief of some plot driven drama, is solid.I just wished we didn't have to deal with cringe worthy crisis just because. I feel there were more organic ways to create the conflict. Will pick up the next though.
Pulp fiction at its bestI love this stuff. Exciting, funny, and wholly unpretentious, this is the kind of book you can read in a single sitting and be left satisfied but eager but for more.
Excellen trilogyThis book was action packed and the characters were well represented. .Welcome back and I can't wait for the next book to come keep up the good writing I enjoy all your books.
ExcellentI have read all three of the books in this series. It started a bit slow, but each book builds effectively on the previous to make a sprawling and interesting universe that is truly different. I have highly enjoyed it.
IntriguedThis series is interesting and funny but keeps you wondering when everything is going to fall apart. There are so many things going on that I keep wondering when things will go wrong and that's it for earth.
Good read great seriesSolid characters with a lot of consistency in their thinking and actions. Looking forward to the next installment. Would love to see what our hero does with a fleet under his command.
Love it and all of the books that I have read from B. V. Larson. Would love more in this series.
Very good, wish that there was more to come! Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Great as alwaysIf you have gotten this far, you know what makes these books good. Can't wait for the next one to be released
Keep email coming.Good read. The whole series. I hope the next one comes out soon. I just wish there were more than the 3
Blake and crew are tricked into attacking the Imperials by the Nomads. Once again they do it with style; very funny.
3.4⭐️. Not as good as previous books in this series. The story would have been better if less time spent on Blake’s libido.
Enjoyed the book, looking forward to another one in this series.
Good readI totally enjoyed this third book in the series. I hope we will see more in the near future in the series. Primates rock.
woInteresting story line and a good plot sometimes confusing but not believable thAnk god. Mortgage and quality time with your
FUNNice to get reacquainted again with Leo et al. The story line was new but familiar and the plot engaging.
EngagingAs usual B.V. Larson delivers again with a Exciting and thoughtfully written book. I becoming a real Fan of Leo and the Rest of the Crew.
Nice wrap upNice wrap up to an engaging series. Or is it? Mr. Larson left the door open for more adventures. Looking forward to the next book.
A great storyThis book kept me interested to the end and kept me guessing how it would end. A good read. What's next?
Should earth surviveIt feels as if the real question is whether it will be destroyed by friends, allies or enemies. The confusion over who is friend, ally or enemy continues. With the fate of humanity at stake that sounds like a very bad situation.Another reviewer had problems with the overt sexism that I ignored originally just to be able to read the book. This writer isn't the only one to describe every woman on an attractiveness scale in order to decide if they are worthy of a serious role in [...]
