Eberhart writes with precision and clarity, in some ways rather like an unsentimental Robinson Jeffers. I felt many of Eberhart's poems reflected the general feelings of the world at the time of the Great Depression as well as post-WWII (arguably post-WWI, also). Not a bad read overall, but not my favorite either.
