Intense collection of poems. My favorite was "Maneuvers."

Read this as soon as you can--in English or the original Spanish (where it is called Pastel de Choclo)." I also can't recommend it in good conscience without saying that it is a series of poems about people being made to disappear and that it is incredibly painful to read. It is strange to me that one can drink in so much history in a single sitting. How many years went into the writing of these poems? You can read them all in an hour.
