Intense collection of poems. My favorite was "Maneuvers."

Actual rating: 3.5 (rounded up because it's important)I cannot in good conscience neglect to say, "Read this. Read this as soon as you can--in English or the original Spanish (where it is called Pastel de Choclo)." I also can't recommend it in good conscience without saying that it is a series of poems about people being made to disappear and that it is incredibly painful to read. It is strange to me that one can drink in so much history in a single sitting. How many years went into the writing of these poems? You can read them all in an hour. It's got to be weird, right, to put so much into something's creation that is used up in the relative blink of an eye?Half and half. I am not normally one to hunt down torture poetry.
