This third edition has had major changes since the first edition reflecting the changes to what 'television' is. Harsh to say given the great content, but the authors would have been best to deal with the history to a certain past milestone and not have attempted to keep it up to date. It looks like they were trying to hit a moving target not realising just how fast the target, or the underlying technology, was moving.

a good if somewhat dated survey of American broadcasting
