Another contemporary, erotic romance by Toni Blake and another winner. This lady pens a mean love story! Not only are her heroes gorgeous and sexy as all get-out, her plots aren't convoluted with high-tech operations, specialized forces and international espionageey are simple stories about complex relationships. No muss, no fussjust pure romance. (It has the same "feel" as Letters to a Secret Lover.)In Tempt Me Tonight, we meet Joe Ramsey and Trish Henderson in the Prologue as small-town, high [...]

Reviewed @ Girls Without a Bookshelf.I am especially picky with the books I read - and I usually immediately chuck the book when infidelity begins to show itself. I made an exception for this book however, because if there's anything I love more than a man baring his heart to his woman, it's a man grovelling for forgiveness. A thread on recommended this book as one with a lot of grovelling so I thought I'd give it a try even if the reason for said grovelling is infidelity. Guess what? I was dis [...]

Contemporary, hot romance about young love gone bad. Trish and Joe were high school sweethearts when something happened that caused them to break-up. Fourteen years later, Trish returned to her hometown for a lengthy visit and when she bumped into Joe, the sparks ignited a fire that never went out. The way Trish went about getting "revenge" turned me right off. Then came the mind games, which I found childish and turned me off even more. Joe apologized several times for his mistake, but Trish wo [...]

I disliked the heroine's thoughts and actions. The story is about Trish who loved Joe as a teen. He hurt her and she left town. She returns 14 years laterUTION SPOILERS: She still loves him but refuses to be honest about her feelings to herself as well as to him. Joe is a great guy. He never meant to hurt her. He still loves her and is patient with her. The major story line is Trish over-analyzing her feelings. She thinks wonderful things but never says them. She is afraid to express her love bec [...]

OK, I know from reading the other reviews that this book is not for everyone. I however LOVED IT! I do not get up set when the hero cheats on the heroine if he truely feels sorry and Joe did. He admits that it was the worst mistake of his life and the cheating took place 14 years ago when they were teenagers. From the moment these two laid eye's on each other, 14 years later, I could see the sparks fling. Joe did everything he could possibly do to make it up to Trish. Trish took a long time to r [...]

See this review at shamelessromancereviewsspI have come to like Toni Blake a lot in the past couple of months and didn’t expect to feel much different about ‘Tempt me Tonight’. The story line is about High School sweet hearts but when Joe goes and does the unforgivable, Trish leaves town for College and doesn’t look back. Now a hot shot Lawyer, Trish returns to Eden to help out her parents in selling their little Diner. And after bumping into Joe at the local watering hole, things start [...]

I can’t believe I waited so long to pick up Tempt me Tonight! I am a huge Toni Blake fan, and this one did not disappoint. It reminded me of her Destiny series. Small town lovin, girl leaves town heartbroken, becomes ‘big city’, comes home for what she thinks is a short visit…t she reunites with her old flame, Joe. *sigh* Joe I love all of Blakes’ heroes. It is a hot quick read, that does not disappoint!Highly recommended for Toni Blake Fans!!!

I started this book a long time ago and misplaced it well I found it again yesterday and restarted it today. There is cheating and even after the book is finished I still am holding a grudge I cant explain it He FINALLY apologized 14 years later(he said that she had said she never wanted to hear from him and it was told to him by her BFFhis BFF's gf)you know SPOILER when she found out he left her at her house at 2 am and bagged a girl who was pretty much a town door knob you know everyone took a [...]

This was my first book by Toni Blake and I must say it was a good one. I was drawn into the characters from the very beginning. Trish and Joe are high school sweethearts, but he screws up and does something bad. Trish says she never wants to see him again. Fast forward 14 years where she has to come home to help her parents with something and ends up seeing Joe again.Blake does an excellent job of portraying the emotion between the couple. I was really rooting for Joe to win Trish back. He was s [...]

This seemed like it had good writing, but after reading 80 or so pages, I wound up just skimming it. The back synopsis didn't really mention what kind of betrayal Joe (the hero) committed against Trish (heroine) when they were in high school, and once I found out, it just lost all interest in reading this story. But I'd be interested in reading other stories by this author because I like her voice.

The book drew me in from the beginning. I never expected to want Trish to forgive Joe, but I like the idea of high school sweethearts ending up together after such a long separation. It's a fast and interesting read. This is my first book by Toni Blake, but it won't be the last.

I can't even begin to say how much I enjoyed this book. To the 1000th power! I have always been a sucker for a sappy romance novel but when it has the H/h rekindle their love for each other, well, nothing gets better than that for me. This book made my heartache, but in a good way :) I normally don't ever read stand alone novels; I like the story to continue. This was my first and even though I LOVED every minute of it I still didn't want it to end. Trish and Joe are high school sweet hearts. Th [...]

This is my first by Toni Blake. I liked this book and from now on, I’m keeping tabs on Toni Blake’s books. What I liked about this book is — it’s about everything. And that means the characters, the flow, the plot, the romance and the sexy scenes. From what I’ve read, Trish and Joe’s relationship is kind of complicated. They did mention they broke up but from what I read and I felt, it’s like, they weren’t. The chemistry’s there. The passion’s shown. I know it (really) sucks w [...]

Wow.No really, wow!I had no idea this book would be good.It really had no potential! Why would you want to read about a reunion of a nice lovely girl and her high school sweet heart that had sex with an other chick one day before she left for the university (an two week before he was supposed to ask her to marry him)? No idea, right? So i was really stunned when it turned out to be a lovely book! The only thing I hate was the prospect of Bev having a HEA. I hope she does not. She was a real creep. Es [...]

My first Toni Blake and it won't be my last. A very endearing story about teen age regrets, forgiveness and true love. Lots of heat when Joe and Trish get togetherd they can't seem to keep their hands off each other. Enjoyable read and I will probably read it again.

You said you’d stay. I thought you were giving me a chance to make up for the past.- JoeLife was easier without love of any kind than love gone wrong.- JoeI don't expect you to ever understand. I don't havea good explanation.- JoeI think the pictures in my head are maybe worse that the truth.- TrishI loved you more than anything, Trish. This was a cute book about first love gone wrong then with a second chance.I liked Trish. I would have been devastated like her with what Joe did to her. Which was why I loved her sense of revenge that she had for him. Was it right, no, was it nice, no, but was it an act that a normal person would do, absolutely. I even liked that when Joe realized just what had happened he was hurt. But with all that being said I was glad that they were able to move past that. Their getting to know each other ag [...]

This is another one of those books that I have no idea how to rate. The story seemed to drag. I mean there's no denying they had chemistry, some really sweet moments and I did like the idea of rekindling your first love buuut the conflicts between the two were frustrating. It already pissed me off from the beginning because he cheated on her. I don't care how drunk or young or frustrated the hero was, it really lowers my standard of that character and thus he had a lot of groveling to do. On the [...]

Read more reviews on my blog | Like me on FacebookI was pleasantly surprised after reading Tempt Me tonight by Toni Blake. I bought it on a whim without even looking at reviews just by the description and started reading it. Five hours later I was finished and in love with the story and characters. The story is about 18 year-old Trish and Joe, the high school sweethearts spending one last night together before Trish moves away for college. The night that was suppose to be special turned into hea [...]

I really wanted to like this. I had read all the five star reviews elsewhere, and expected a great read.Trisha and Joe had been high school sweethearts. Then just after graduation, when Trisha was leaving for college. Joe cheated with another girl.Fourteen years later Trisha has returned home, to help her parents sell their diner. Almost the first person she runs into is Joe. It seems there is still a spark between them. But can Trisha forgive him? When Trisha returns to her home town after fourt [...]

I'm not a huge fan of the highschool sweethearts, though I can be positively surprised by some stories relying on this trope from time to time. Here it unfortunately did not work out. I rather liked the hero, Joe, who outside of his one-time cheating with the heroine, always behaved like an adult, knew his faults. I also liked that he could not always control his reactions and speech and let his emotions sometimes get ahead of him, especially when confronted back to Trish or when she shut him dow [...]

My first Toni Blake book and it was excellent! I loved the story line! Joe and Trisha were high school sweethearts who were so in love but one reckless night Joe made a mistake that changed their lives. Trisha moved away, went to college and never looked back. That is until years later she returns home and accidentally runs into Joe. The feelings they once shared are stronger than ever but is it really love or just sexual desire? Trisha finds the older Joe sexy as hell so why not use it to her a [...]

I liked the story but still felt like it was to long and it seemed to never end I mean he tells her he loves her, she tells him she has to think, then she goes to his house and sees bev there and she doesn't think joe is with her but yet she doesnt trust him and runs away, then he goes to get her and again she tells him she doesn't want to go back, but I don't know like three minutes after he leaves she goes after him because she suddenly can't live without him and her life is boring whe five mi [...]

Ok, I love all of Toni Blake's novels I read until now. This book though is fell short of the other books by her. It doesn't have that depth of emotion and drama as the others. The story is so-so and it's just about a high school sweetheart reunion after their nasty breakup years ago. I know that a simple story sometimes can still become a good story nontheless this book failed. The thing that rankled me so much is how frequently the two had sex along the story. Everytime they met, they had sex. [...]

it was great enough for me to give it a perfect rating :) I was uhmm sort of expecting a little bit of the 'typical, as usual, common, boring type' romance with this kind of 'theme' but gladly it wasn'tentirelylet's put it this way, 'the grip' is so good that it kept me going on until I finished reading it, the build-up of the characters were great, you'll absolutely 'understand' what they feel and think, you'll feel the sincerity and the repentance in there and there were also not much of a sup [...]

3.5+ StarsI'm not a fan of books where the cheater gets a second chance, but this one was pretty good. I prefer books where the heroine moves on after being betrayed and ends up with a new hero. I normally don't enjoy stories where the h pines over an old boyfriend for years, never truly moves on, it's irritating.Overall though this book was well written and developed. I wouldn't read it again, but I liked it.
