    Marcus Hardie was an anti terror fighter in the Israel Defense Forces under the 7th Brigade of the Ard Division He graduated from the University of California at Riverside and the University of California Hastings College of Law in San Francisco and soon became Special Assistant to Governor Pete Wilson of California He then moved to Israel, where he served as an intern at the office of Ehud Olmert, the mayor of Jerusalem and future Prime Minister, before joining the Israeli Army Marcus is also a graduate of Tulane University s Cardozo Legal Institute at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Faculty of Law Mr Hardie is currently an attorney who resides in Southern California.

      Anything But Black,There are several story lines here beyond that which is presented by author Marcus Hardie's "Black and Bulletproof: An African American Warrior in the Israeli Army." It is the story of poverty and violence in a ghetto in South California.       It is amazing when a person stands strong behind their beliefs, especially when their beliefs are not always popular.Black & Bulletproof took me on a journey the started in Long Beach California, ended up in Isreal, and ultimately came back to California with a different person from the one who began the journey.I applaud Marcus for sharing his story that involved him finding himself and his meaning.       Black and Bulletproof was a very intriguing story. MG Hardie wrote a memoir about his metamorphosis from gang member in Long Beach, California to observant Jew to Israeli soldier and back to Southern California where he is an attorney. I guess I would have liked to read more. For example, what are his political views now? He also states that he was always a Reagan Republican. I would have liked to know how he reconciled a belief in trickle down economics with his being poverty stricken in the in [...]
